Account Executive

The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for daily contact between the agency and one or more client accounts. The AE interfaces with various agency departments to move projects through on behalf of the client. This includes meeting with the Creative Director concerning creative briefs, input and revisions, the Director of Interactive Marketing concerning interactive projects, and the Production Manager concerning estimates, scheduling and timing. The Account Executive has input in developing strategic marketing plans for their clients. After plans are developed and presented to clients, the AE is responsible for carrying out the plan on a daily basis through completion.

 Responsibilities:

  • Effectively plan and organize the work – handling multiple projects efficiently, effectively and productively
  • Establish clear objectives and day-to-day priorities
  • Adapt to workload and working conditions while maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • Communicate effectively, and provide clear, thorough written direction with agency team members
  • Deliver concise, accurate and actionable accounts of meetings and discussions
  • Develop and present timelines for projects and integrated campaigns
  • Present (together with agency colleagues) campaign concepts to the client
  • Monitor the effectiveness of campaigns
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the client’s business and competitive environment
  • Keep the client and account team updated on the status of account activities
  • Assist with building a positive culture

 Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a client-facing role working at an advertising or marketing agency
  • Traditional and digital advertising experience
  • Strong customer service, computer, and analytical/problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and respond promptly to immediate client needs and requests
