The first order of business was updating the Blue Mesa identity. We created a logo, classic yet modern, and a color palette inspired by the southwestern flavor of the restaurant.
We developed a small library of simple and energetic brand elements which could be applied to everything from stationery to the menus and in-restaurant collateral to outside banners and the website.
The website will be a place where Blue Mesa’s core audience will feel welcome to visit often, with listed local food and drink events, recipes, special offers, and a robust catering order system.
The core of our brand strategy was to amplify Blue Mesa’s commitment to using locally grown and produced fresh ingredients. Six annual festivals were created to celebrate some of these ingredients, including the Hatch Chile Festival in late summer, the Texas Citrus Festival in the spring, and the Sweet Potato Festival in autumn.
