Tuesday Poliak

Has thought about running 6 marathons. But thought better of it.

Talked her mom into teaching her to drive when she was 12.

Her motto is, “life’s too short to put up with mean people.”

Her food pyramid: nuts, seeds, sprouts, fruits, veggies, dark chocolate, vodka (not in that order).

Her best day is a book, a pool and some sunshine.

Considers New York her favorite hobby.

She has the ability to read minds (she knows you’re skeptical).

Tuesday Poliak Creative: Art

Tuesday's career started with a genius of an idea. Everyone told her about the horrors of landing that first job out of school. So, to guarantee her work got into the hands of the right creative directors, she came up with "Wallet Portfolios."

She created fake wallets of the creative directors she wanted to work for, each filled with her portfolio and contact info shrunken down to billfold size. Then she simply dropped them in the restrooms of their buildings and waited. She didn’t have to wait long. Lee Clow called the next morning and gave her a job.

After that auspicious beginning at TBWA/Chiat Day in Venice, Tuesday, born and raised in Los Angeles, went on to BBDO West, when David Lubars was at the helm.

But she always wanted to live in New York, so she moved east, landing at Deutsch, back in the day it was a “boutique” agency. Four great years later she moved on to spend six months exploring the design and cultures of Argentina and Uruguay. Once back in New York, StrawberryFrog called and asked if she would help lead the newly-won Mitsubishi Motors Europe Account. She packed her bags and headed to the land of bicycles and bitteballen. After four amazing years of living and working abroad, she moved back to New York in 2006 and freelanced for all the great agencies.

Fortunately for us, she packed her bags once more and moved to Commerce House in Dallas.
